Kelly Blue Book Canada Used Car Values

Kelley Blue Book has been helping new and used car buyers find the best deals for over 80 years. Its the original guide used worldwide by automobile sales professionals and those in the market to buy or sell an automobile.

The young Les Kelley in the early 1920s started what was to be known as Blue BookŪ values. While starting up his soon to be famous "Kelley Kar Company" automobile dealership, he came up with a plan to build up his inventory by distributing a list to other dealers and to banks of cars he wished to buy and the prices he was willing to pay for them.

The local automotive community began to trust Kelley's judgment so much as an accurate current value, they began requesting the list for their own use. At that point he realized that he could offer his value system service to dealers and bankers alike and in 1926 published the first "Blue Book of Motor Car Values."

Today almost one third of those who buy a new or used car in the United States visits their website. According to J.D. Power and Associates' studies, more car-buyers use kbb.com than the other top blue book value competitors combined. They are one the most visited websites for over six years!

One last note, if you typed in Kelly Blue Book to find this site instead of the correct spelling, which is Kelley Blue Book, don't feel bad; only a small percentage of people actually remember to throw in the second "e" between the "l" and "y."
