Wondering what Webkinz are? Webkinz pets are adorable soft pets that each come with an individual secret code. The secret code unlocks the online webkinz world where your virtual pet comes to life in a virtual world where you can play trivia, win KinzCash, and play the coolest kids games on the internet!

On April 29, 2005 the plush animal Webkinz were first released by the Ganz company. These aren't just ordinary stuffed animals, these lttle critters come with a secret code on their tags that grants you access to the wonderful "Webkinz World" where you adopt an computer animated version of that pet that you can interact with. Lil Kinz are just like Webkinz, but smaller and are priced less than their larger counterparts.

What's Webkinz World All About

When you register your Webkinz stuffed animals with the code they come with, you become the owner of a virtual pet in a virtual world you can explore that even has its own economy. The player aquires online cash called Kinzcash from playing playing games and answering trivia questions. You are also rewarded for completing other jobs or for completing a bonus game of the day.

Players can use their earnings to buy pet food and accessories for their adopted pets. You can also buy other miscellaneous decorations and furniture for their rooms or even add an addition to their house.

By interacting with the characters you entercounter throughout your journeys in this online world you may receive additional items. Receive even more by registering merchandise you purchase in the real world. Each animal receives food exclusive to that character type.

Much of the game play involves collecting and aquiring items. Create a Webkinz Crown of Wonder by mining a full set of gems at the Curio Shop. Webkinz recipes can be found by watching the TV Show called The Secret Chef with Chef Gazpacho or from cookbooks you can buy.

A real fun part of the game play is that you can use the Webkinz Studio to create your own show. Enter you show and it could be chosen to appear on the Webkinz television station.
