In males Klinefelter Syndrome is the most common sex chromosome disorder and the second most common condition caused by the presence of extra chromosomes. Roughly 1 out of every 650 males is affected by Klinefelter Syndrome. Symptoms include hypogonadism and reduced fertility. A variety of other physical and behavioural differences and problems are common including male breasts. The severity varies and many boys and men with the condition don't have any of the detectable symptoms. This genetic condition is irreversible. Testosterone treatment can be option for those individuals who want a more masculine appearance and identity. Often individuals that have noticeable male breasts or hypogonadism experience some degree of depression and/or social anxiety because they are outside of social norms.
